Q1 2025 STRATEGY PERFORMANCE:
The high dividend, high quality stocks in the strategy rose 3.08% net in a quarter while the Russell 1000 Value ETFs rose 2.07%. Strong performance from our holdings in Healthcare, Consumer Staples, Industrials more than offset headwinds seen elsewhere. Overall, we are pleased with the results this quarter.
MARKET OVERVIEW: MARKETS REPRICE AMID SHIFTING CONDITIONS AS EMOTIONS RUN RIOT
The broad market’s explosive 57.8% rise in the two years ending in 2024 marked the strongest two-year returns since 1998.1 After a strong start to the first quarter, U.S. equity markets reversed course sharply in March as economic, policy, and sector-specific developments led to a broad repricing of risk.
